P.D. Cacek

The winner of both a Bram Stoker and World Fantasy Award for short fiction, P.D. Cacek has published over a hundred short stories, three collections and eight novels, including SECOND LIVES and SECOND CHANCES from Flame Tree Publishing.

Cacek holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English/Creative Writing Option from the University of California at Long Beach and has taught both adult and young adult writing workshops. She is a certified Wilderness Survival Instructor with experience in both desert and woodland settings.

A native Westerner, Cacek divides her time between Arvada, CO—which looks down on the Mile High city—and Phoenixville, PA—only a short walk from The Colonial Theater where the famous “Run Screaming From Theater” scene in THE BLOB was filmed.

When not writing, she can often been found with THE PATIENT CREATURES (www.creatureseast.com). a group of costumed storytellers or on the podcast series: WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF.

An avid collector of cookbooks and ghosts, Cacek is currently gathering material on haunted B&Bs and Inns to appear in what will be a combination history/cookbook/haunters guidebook entitled: FINE FOOD & RESTLESS SPIRITS.
