This beautiful calendar showcases 12 designs from The Tudor Pattern Book, a picture book of trees and plants, animals and alphabets painted on parchment. The designs might have served as models for craftwork, especially needlework, within a great Tudor household. This manuscript has belonged to Oxford University for over three centuries, first at the Ashmolean Museum after donation by Elias Ashmole (1617–92) and later at the Bodleian Library.
